As a church, we want to be a community of people that look for good. This means that we are generous and honouring towards one another with our thoughts, words and actions. We think the best of one another, we talk about each other positively and respectfully, without gossiping, and we set one another up to win, working together as God's family.
As we affirm and encourage one another, we create an environment that continuously reminds us of who God has made us to be. We are surrounded by people who have faith and vision for our future.
Looking for good creates a supportive environment that allows people to step out and try new things. Rather than write people off because an idea didn’t work, we look for good! We are gracious, encouraging and supportive, commending one another for stepping out in obedience to God.
We look for good:
In ourselves: We are not overly critical of ourselves, and are quick to accept forgiveness
In one another: We think the best of one another, and try to see people the way God does.
In our circumstances: Whatever our situation, we take refuge in our faithful God (Psalm 7:1)
