We are united

As a church, we want to be united. This doesn’t mean that we are all the same – we are a diverse mix of people with different backgrounds and skills, and that is a great blessing to us! Rather, unity means clinging tightly to one another as family, being united in heart and mind, being for one another and sharing in a common purpose.

It is God who draws us together and unites us through his Holy Spirit. Being united is an activity of the Holy Spirit in us, and it’s a sign of our transformed lives together.

We are united:

  • Around God: As we put God first in our lives, he draws us all closer to him and to one another.

  • By God: We are baptised into one body by the work of the Holy Spirit.

  • For God: Our love and our unity are a testament to how our lives have been transformed by God - this glorifies him for what he has done for us.
